INTERN OLYMPICS!

One thing that super bugs me about t.v. shows an movies is the way families refer to one another.
For example the way EVERY SINGLE FATHER calls their boy(s) son. What the hell?! You do not see fathers calling their girls daughter. No mother call their boy(s) son. Does the names Timmy, Jimmy and Tommy not suffice? Are we as the audience confused as to what relation these people have. Because having a child say dad is normal. Weird though. My parents names are mom and dad not Vic & Julie.

So last night we had Intern Olympics! Basically the staff members drink beer and are entertained by the interns and the events of the different departments of the Safari: Ungulates, Carnivores, Cheetahs, Elephants, Village, Education, and Veterinary. My team, Ungucation (Ungulates+Education) we won the following events. Ungulates- Counting animals in a swirling pool. Education- Trivia questions about the park. And Veterinary- finding a 'hiding animal' and catching her (some one hid in village and we raced to find her and when she was found we had to catch her with a net). Winning events gave us candy. Overall my team tied for the silver medal and I earned a $10 McDonalds gift card.
